  18. Signs to look for:
  19.  
  20.      Severe, crushing, constant central chest pain that lasts for several
  21. minutes
  22.  
  23.      A pain or tightness in the chest that moves either to the arm, neck,
  24. jaw, shoulder, mid-back or stomach
  25.  
  26.      Profuse sweating and extreme weakness
  27.  
  28.      The victim is anxious and afraid
  29.  
  30.      Extreme shortness of breath
  31.  
  32.      Nausea and vomiting
  33.  
  34.      The skin is pale, and lips and fingernails may be blue
  35.  
  36.  
  37. Immediate Treatment:
  38.  
  39.   1. Check and maintain an open airway, and if necessary, restore breathing
  40. and circulation.
  41.  
  42.   2. If the victim is conscious, gently place him in a comfortable sitting
  43. position.  Lying down flat makes breathing more difficult.
  44.  
  45.   3. Loosen tight clothing, and keep the victim comfortably warm.
  46.  
  47.   4. Calm and reassure the victim.

  49.   5. Call Emergency Medical Services.
